Yesterday was Father's Day. We had a nice day, my oldest daughter and her husband and kids came over to have dinner with us. Our daughter made a wonderful German chocolate cake for my husband because that is his favorite. It was delightful to have them over.
This is the second Father's Day without my Dad. I still miss him very much. Time helps soften then hurt of missing him, and we are left with the wonderful memories of all the things and time we had together. No matter how old I get I think in my heart I will always be a Daddy's girl.
